1. The chalet is privately owned and run by us (an English couple), who also live in the property. All 4 double bedrooms are ensuite.
2. There are no lengthy transfers from the airport!! Salzburg is just 1 hour 15 minutes away, and we don’t go “round the houses” dropping off other customers.
3. To reach the chalet in the village of Uttendorf, there are no scary hairpin bends or narrow mountain roads. The village lies in a valley off a main road.
4. How many other winter holidays can boast that you can ski up to 7 different resorts in 1 week? From Uttendorf you can very quickly access major ski/tourist/ walking areas eg Kitzbuhel, Zell am Zee, Saalbach Hinterglemm, Kaprun and Neukirchen, without paying Kitzbuhel type prices to stay there. For winter sports this means that you can try a different resort each day (according to our weekly programme and snow conditions). For guaranteed all year round snow, we access the Kaprun Glacier and the local Weissee Glacier.

7. Your diets and needs are individually catered for wherever possible.
8. We are very experienced skiers. Although we cannot “teach” you on snow, we can help you to improve - as we are both ex-dry slope instructors and Austrian qualified snow instructors. A programme of guiding by either or both is available most days.
9. Depending upon the designation of the group, we can tailor the skiing in terms of where we go each day, which slopes we try etc according to your needs and skiing ability.
10. There are a range of options for getting here e.g. fly/drive, self drive, fly and we collect, train and coach.
11. Ski hire, ski bus, ski train are all within two minutes walking distance of the chalet.
12. Within the village there are supermarkets in very easy walking distance for you to buy your “duty free” to drink in the chalet. No, we don’t charge you to keep your beers in a ‘fridge
13. Due to quick access to 2 local glaciers, we are snow sure throughout the year.
14. Apart from peak weeks (i.e. school holidays, etc), we do not charge a supplement for single room occupancy. Please contact us for further information.
15. It is a NO smoking chalet. This includes the garden and balconies.
16. It is possible to Ski / Board for the equivalent of seven days in one week - depending on flights booked.
17. Where ever possible all of the fruits and vegetables used in our cooking are organic and most are from our own garden

4. You can access a range of places in the locality very quickly. The chalet is in the Hohe Tauern National Park, and so there are beautiful views all round.
5. In summer you can come to us for: walking, cycling, fishing (angling), mountain biking, golf, tennis, swimming, climbing, hiking, farmer festivals, cultural festivals, photography, painting,  and bird / nature / flower watching. Motor cycling is also very “big” out here and groups of veteran motorbike enthusiasts meet up and tour around, especially climbing the famous GrossGlockner Pass. The Krimml waterfalls (the highest falls in Europe) are 30 minutes away and worth a visit. World famous Kitzbuhel and Zell am See are just 15 minutes away and you won’t be paying Zell prices to stay there! The 2 glaciers at Weissee and Kaprun make an interesting visit in summer and the Kaprun Glacier is open for summer skiing.
6. Salzburg is the home of “The Sound of Music” and you can visit the various sites where the famous film was filmed.

10. There are a range of options for getting to Chalet Anna. The summer opens up many more possibilities with train through Europe, coach travel with Eurolines, self drive with your own or a hire car and flying. Summer flight prices with Ryanair can be as little as 99p!! (plus taxes etc) Yes 99p!!
11. Mountain bike hire (also ski and boot hire if you want to try summer skiing) is within a 1 minute walk of the chalet.

Sample Menu

Cream of pumpkin soup, with seedy clusters and pumpkin oil drizzle - Chicken in red wine & cardamon sauce - Pear and ginger crumble, with ice cream or Local Pinzgau cheese [vegetarians more than welcome]. A lot of the fruit and vegtable produce used in the meals come from our own organic garden.
