:: Getting there

Travelling to Chalet Anna, Uttendorf in Salzburgerland is very easy. Below are the various options open to you.

By coach
Eurolines depart from England bound for many European destinations, including Salzburg. For availability, duration of journey, cost and timings you will need to check with Eurolines. Collection from Salzburg can be arranged, but may be charged to a local taxi if it doesn’t fall in with our timetable.

By Rail
RailEurope would be able to advise you on the best routes to Austria. This would be a lengthy journey with quite a few changes, but if you have the time and an interest in rail travel, then this would be a great way to travel. Probably best undertaken in the summer. Collection from the nearest rail station can be arranged, but may be charged to a local taxi if it doesn’t fall in with our timetable. www.raileurope.com

By car – self drive
Driving through Europe is so easy, and getting to Uttendorf is mainly motorway and some A roads. The village is sited in the valley basin, so there are no horrid hairpin bends to negotiate to get to us. If you prefer to self drive (which gives you more independence), then we can provide instructions after you have booked. Plenty of parking is available outside the chalet. When calculating the cost of this against flying, remember fuel, road tolls and the channel crossing.

By air with self drive
This combines the convenience of flying and the independence of having a car with you for the week so you can do your own thing. You can fly into Innsbruck, Salzburg, Linz,Munich ,and even further afield. Then car hire at the airport and make your way to Uttendorf. We will supply detailed instructions after you have booked. We will deduct £30 per person if you self drive / fly drive.

By air
Lots of carriers fly into Salzburg from a range of UK airports - including Stanstead, Coventry, Bournemouth and Southampton. We collect and drop off to Salzburg every week on a Sunday (but other arrangements maybe possible - please ask). By flying in on the early flight, you could get half a days skiing in (make your own arrangements for this), and if you took the later flight home (9.00p.m.) the following Sunday, you could ski for half a day at the other end of the holiday, (again, make your own arrangements for this). These times might seem very early/ late but at least you miss the M11 traffic. If a whole group book the chalet and fly into a different airport or at a different time, then we might be able to arrange to collect you.

In all cases, you need to make your own arrangements for flight, car hire etc bookings. With Ryanair, the earlier you book, and book on line, the cheaper. We have flown into Salzburg for £4.99 each!!

Please check the availability of the e.g. flight before you book with us, as you might find that you have a holiday, but no means of getting there.
Book early!!

If you have any problems with any of the above, please let us know and we will do all that we can to help you.
